The Asia Pacific International launched with style on May 29th 2009 with an oustanding line up of 110 competitors from across Australasia gracing the Stage for the very first time at the Southport RSL on Queensland's sunny Gold Coast. The event was designed to provide an exiciting platform for athletes to not only compete against the finest athletes in Australasia but more importantly to provide opportunities for athletes so they can further their careers whether that be in natural bodybuilding or the world of fitness modelling. Athletes are awarded beautiful hand sculpted trophies from the master sculptor Neils Andersen of the United States.
All athlete are invited to take part in a professional photo shoot on the days proceeding the event for their chance to make it as a potential cover model or featured athlete in Natural Bodz Magazine.
We also invite all Models and Fitness Model competitors to take part in our annual "Natural Bodz - Sports Model International" Calendar shoot.
Within 12 short months the Asia Pacific International attracted an additional 55% more competitors over the 2009 event, with a total of 171 athletes taking part in a true celebration of natural bodybuilding and fitness.
The standard of athletes was outstanding with an incredible team of athletes from New Zealand headed by Ali Gascoine. The atmosphere and energy was apparent from the weigh in and registration, it was going to be one amazing weekend. We wanted to lift the bar for all athletes who compete in the event so we decided to offer the prize of 4 fully funded return airfares and 7 nights accommodation in a luxury resort in Las Vegas to compete in the 2010 Musclemania /Fitness America Weekend in Nov 2010. Additionally we partially funded another 4 athletes and assisted them with accommodation for the Vegas event.
Once again we invited all athletes to take part in a professional photo shoot for potential covers and features, plus the Sports Model International Calendar shoot over the 2 days following the big event.
We also commissioned a film crew to shoot a 30 minute documentary titled "Desire To Inspire" that takes a look behind the scenes of the event and the inspirational stories of a number of the athletes who took part.
What an amazing event this was, the 2011 event was the largest event thus far with over 214 competitor that competed over 12-13th June 2011 it was the biggest Physique, Figure and Fitness Model Championships in history. An amazing crowd followed that gave the show an amazing atmosphere and competitors guests and Sponsors were entertained with an amazing Event Introduction to set the mood for a fantastic event to follow. The first ever Male & Female Fitness Model Championships held in Australia took place here with an incredible turnout of both male and female competitors hitting the stage with a spectacular "Fashion Meets Fitness" style of event.
As it happened for the 2010 event a selection of athletes from both days shows took place to form our strongest team yet to compete in the 2011 Musclemania/Fitness America Weekend where several athletes were fully funded and others partially partially funded with their return air fares and accommodation. For details of the Vegas Teams results, photos and video footage please refer to the Fitness America Gallery page.

The 2014 Asia Pacific Weekend was a huge hit with the minor category changes that was made following the constructive feedback we'd received from the previous years show. The new Bikini Model category saw a renewed interest with the removal of the routines and the Male Muscle Model saw some fantastic physiques on display. Without doubt the standard this year was the strongest yet with the superb line up of competitors across both days of the show that traveled from across every state in Australia and not forgetting the superb line up of international competitors that joined us for this years event.
What an amazing weekend it was.... Steve and Antonietta Jones take great pride in bringing something both spectacular and memorable for competitors and audience alike. They look at the event as not merely a competition but an actual "Show". A platform that provides a worthy backdrop for all the weeks and months that competitors invest into fine tuning their amazing bodies. A BIG thank you to everyone involved with the show on the weekend for making it one of if not the most memorable ANB Asia Pacifics to date.
The 2015 Event was truly Epic in proportions with record numbers of competitors and an amazingly high standard across the board. It was the introduction of a host of Junior and Novice Categories in Bikini, Model and Physique allowing newcomers to the sport a more level playing field and a place to kick off their competitive career. 2015 also saw the introduction of the Men's Physique Category, with great numbers and magnificent line ups of athletes gracing the stage for the first time. Men's Physique is certainly a popular category and we can see the numbers in this growing significantly in the coming years.
Also Figure International was added with several classes and enabled the Figure Athletes a true sense of what to expect when competing abroad. Whilst the Figure International could also be looked at as a stepping stone for ladies that would like to later master the figure poses this is a category that suits both new and seasoned competitors. The Media Shoot saw us capture some more incredible Cover images of athletes along with a stunning array of images that now feature in our 2016 Sports Model International Calendar.
