Frequently Asked Questions
FAQs - Figure
Q: I was wondering whether first time competitors are able to enter the ANB Asia Pacific International Championships or whether there are local competitions that need to be entered first?

A:The entire competition and divisions are open to all first timers, there is no pre-requisite to have done any other shows or nor do you have to pre-qualify.

Q. I am unsure which category I should go into, can I enter in to more than one category in the Figure?

A: From 2012 restrictions have been lifted and competitors are able to compete in more than one category in the ANB Asia Pacific International Championship, subject to the categories age, weight or height restrictions and applicable entry fees. This also applies to Novice competitors should they also want to compete in any Open Class.

Q.I am new to Figure competitions and will be competing in my very first event as a Novice Competitor and was wondering if we are required to perform a routine?

As of 2015 routines have been removed from all Bodybuilding and Figure Divisions and therefore no routines are required. All Bodybuilding and Figure divisions will only comprise of Rounds 1 and 2 ( Compulsory Posing Round and Symmetry Round) and will be judged on these two rounds alone.

In the compulsory posing round do women wear their heels? Or is that just for quarter turns?

A:  In both the compulsory and symmetry rounds in the Figure categories women are required to wear heels for both rounds.
